At Carmax we offer three grades of Vehicles for sale, these are:

(1) Certified Pre-Owned, (Our highest grade)
(2) Premium Used - (The majority of our vehicles.)
(3) Bargins - (As is where is/on sale units)

Certified Pre-Owned

The Certified Pre-Owned process involves a mandatory 165 point vehicle inspection that seeks to identify and correct any defects using brand new, genuine spare parts.


Premium Used

Premium used vehicles are units that are in very good to excellent condition and some are even backed by the original new vehicle warranty.  Unless stated in writing otherwise, these units do not enjoy any other warranty.

Bargins

As the name implies, a bargin-as is where is unit, is well, lets say, a fixer-upper, a car in need of some TLC, a car that has equal amounts of good points and not so good points...you decide.

We do not offer any warranty on these units.  Depending on the brand, we may be able to offer discounts on the purchase of brand new, genuine spare parts for up to three months from the date of purchase.
